Not all longboarding is about organised events, going fast or doing tricks. Sometimes for me, it’s about making everyday life just that much better just by going via board and feeling the flow. A couple months ago my husband and I took a day trip to the Isle of Wight on a brisk off-season day with our boards in the boot. Rather than plod along the paths like typical sight-seers we rolled!
The island was for the most part tourist free which made for a brilliant day out. I will warn you guys that the island doesn’t have a sprawling system of bike paths or even pavement in many areas, so doing the whole thing by board just isn’t feasible, but you can do as we did and go by car for the long stretches and bring out the boards to cruise the cliffside paths or the beach-front promenades.
Browse on to come along with us on a photographic day out from ferry port to pints on the waterfront and a sunset on the dashboard.
*the Rayne Terror is out of stock just about everywhere so we hope the link we’ve given you works, but if not you may be able to get one by requesting a special order from your local shop or checking Ebay or Amazon. We also have tried to link up to UK shops if possible, European shops second and any abroad last to help you all save on postage/import tax when you order 😉 It is a ‘grom’ board but is great for anyone with a smaller stance like myself.
